Georgia is pre-ranked #1 so you might as well convert for a year to cheer on a team that at least has a shot to win the National Title. Prediction: UGA will suffer another beat down at the hands of UT again this year. This loss will be especially devastating as it will take place “between the hedges.” You beat Hawaii, so what?
UGA’s ranking has nothing to do with Hawaii. Hawaii only made it to the Sugar Bowl because of their record and not their schedule strength. Vandy could have beaten Hawaii. Ainge is gone so I don’t see UT as a problem especially because we are playing “between the hedges” as you put it. Georgia has got a very tough schedule though, @USC, @LSU, Florida. and @ Auburn. Lose only one of those games and UGA could still certainly be eligible for the National Title game. And I guess I’ll add @ Arizona State only because they were fairly decent last year and its a home game for them.
^Agreed man. I was just giving you a hard time. I think Tennessee will have a tough time this year in Athens. With Stafford and Moreno, UGA will be tough to out score. But like you said, it will be nearly impossible for them to escape that schedule unscathed. Even only losing one game might be tough. As for Ainge, I think UT might be better off without him. BTW, didn’t mean to hijack the thread. Go Vols.
