what to do in last 3 days

someone who has passed level 1 - can he suggest if it is a good idea to focus on giving one more full length mock or just reviewing material?

i would be bobbing my head like “yeah”, then moving my hips like “yeah”

No way would I do a mock exam after probably Monday or Tues the week before. I usually don’t even do questions after Wednesday. Your brain needs a chance to rest and sometimes doing questions can lead to anxiety (especially if you start missing things you thought you knew very well). I would do not much more than re-read some of your weaker areas, and cut everything off by Friday around noon.

I think doing a full mock is important to get a feel for the stamina needed for the exam…If you’ve done one already, I wouldn’t do another one though.

I have done 3 full length mock’s already! not able to focus on anything from last 2 days -feeling nervous. brain is not accepting anything!! Feels like I am burnt out -studying 6-8 hours everyday from last month not even able to relax!!

I know what you mean!!! With every hour that passes I feel that I know less and less and I have considered just not looking at the books anymore to prevent further “knowledge-drain”. Strangely, I felt really confident at the end of last week and right now I feel like I know nothing anymore :frowning:

it’s currently 11:03 pm where I’m at and I feel the same way you guys do! busy with Schweser Practise exams and some concepts are justt running away from me. I did CFA Mock AM though and scored 69%, but still the anxiety is going more and more up. And I think I’m putting more pressure on myself cos I sat for lv 1 dec 08 and didnt make it (Band 9), so this this time it has to say “Pass” when i see those results. Think i’ll just concentrate on reading over the weak areas for next two days…

sounds familiar. consider this: if you were participating in a marathon which will be coming up in a week, would it be wise to run a marathon everyday up until the day before the actual race? planning to review the formulae, possibly financial reporting and ETHICS tomorrow, and then keeping my fingers crossed for saturday. best of luck to you you all!

haha that was a funny one…

Pray Kidding aside…I stopped looking at question posts on AF. I have taken lots of exams including the CFAI tests. I went through them all and culled out the subjects from every wrong answer. I have a list that I will look up with the goal of picking up a few more points on trivial subjects that I got wrong. It also helps me see where I may have screwed up easy points like getting a most likely/least likely mixed up

At this point I’m just going back through the very basics. I did a 120 Qbank earlier, and I spent 5 minutes on a simple standard deviation problem because instead of using expected value for returns (probabilities x return / n), I just took a simple average. I ended up getting a 94% on the Qbank, but I want to make sure I don’t make really stupid mistakes like that on Saturday. I’ll probably review Ethics and notes tomorrow, and Friday I’ll keeping reading Titan.

Last June all I do on the last week is reviewing the mock exam and QBanks. NOT doing the mock, just reviewing where I did wrong and such. Keep your mind at ease and alert at the same time.

I think in June I did a practice exam Wednesday or Thursday night and made that my last one. Thursday and Friday I just reviewed. Yes, even Friday. I am a firm believer in working until there is no more time left to work. The only thing I avoided was AF as people tend to post minutia or harder things than you need to worry about. I would review definitional items from the “less important” sections as I gave away some points on questions that should have been gimme’s. Still got 70+ in all but PM. Good luck.

My advice would be to NOT study the day before. It is the hardest thing to do. I did that at level 1,2 and 3 and was successful on first attempt. FWIW
