Well, obviously it would be a significant pay cut from what I’m making now, and just a small fraction of what I’d expect to be making out of business school…but like I said, I guess I interpreted the question as what I’d be doing as a temporary stopgap if I were laid off (as opposed to a completely alternate career). Not sure what I’d be doing as an alternate career…can’t really think of anything other than finance.

Plumber…Not much tuition expense. Do a couple roto rooter jobs a day for cash. Welder…Make race cars/street rods in spare time…but gotta inhale flux (not healthy). Engine machinist…blow up engines in spare time…then rebuild for low cost, never have to buy nice cloths. Middle management at General Motors…no tuition expense…high pay…make government give you money to keep it going…cause you’re “too big to fail”.
