@TheMBAGlover I think you have to problem from my point view : 1. you are planning to read CFAI books. My advice make CFAI books as a refrence and try to study from another provider. CFAI books so HUGE to read with all of details. 2. I have bad experince with Allen , I bought 2009 Level 1 videos anf mp3s . it was outdated i discove that they are explaining topics that already removed from the CFAI books. !!! my advice go to schwser . simply , I did the same strategy before 2 years in L1 and I did not pass.
