when there is OCI, does it count in book value and debt/equity ratio?

Oops just posted to general discussion… I just do not understand the question in Mock I that had Equity method reclassified to AFS, I thought the unrealized gain (which is higher than the NI-div of the investee) goes to other comprehensive income, which increased the book value? or does not the OCI count as book value? How about equity, when you cal debt/equity ratio, the equity here is the total asset-debt or stock+ retained earning? Help Help~~
