When to begin mocks

I know its early, but when do you all plan on beginning mock exams? I’ve got 6 Schweser mocks and 6 Elans (when they are released, which is supposed to be by the end of March) – I am using 3 of Schweser and 3 of Elan mocks as practice questions.

I planned on taking my first mock on the last weekend in March. I was just curious as to what other people were planning. Thanks.

I’m on schedule to take my first mock the first week of April.

I think it depends on how fast you move. With the understanding that mock tests are one part practice and one part review session (really work back through your mocks to adress things you were shakey on) it depends on how you are doing. If you are scoring poorly then there is a lot to review so it may take longer than if you start off scoring well. I did 10 mocks starting in mid April and still had time to take it easier during the last week so I think mid April is a good target +/- depending on how prepaired you really are.

lol i’m about 30% through the materials.

We should all plan to work our first Mock exam here pretty soon. I’m sure it’s going to ignite a fire under our asses when we score 50% on our first attempt.

Galli I agree . I am nervous to take the mock

i am tacking it every week at least one, I am scoring around 50% in total. how about your scores?

Hi every one, I believe we should take Mock Exams when we believe that we are ready for Exams fully and can put our self really into exam condition.

Everyone has its own way of study. I know some people they finsihed QBank, Notes , tests everything on time even then they were not able to pass exams.

I strongly believe whenever you are taking Mocks you should be prepared because you are preparing for yourself not for others.

I generally encourage people to start the mock early, even if you haven’t gone through everything yet.

As long as you finish one study session and you feel confident with the material (you have done the EOC questions or qbank), you should start attacking the mock because you need to know early what to expect.

I say this also because people don’t generally remember the mock exam questions as much as they think, if you do the econ section of the mock exams in Feb, i highly doubt you will remember all the questions and answers by May. so it’s worth doing mock exams twice.

HAVING SAID THAT, if you finish all the reasons and otherquestions early, like now, you have sufficient time to go through the mocks and re-study particular sessions that you are weak on.

I planned to take a mock this week but now i have dropped that idea.It is better to take mocks when you are 100% sure that you will get atleast 65% in them.No point trying the mocks now and feeling demotivated after scoring 50%.(I passed CFAL1 this December.People who passed L1 in June 2013 must start mocks now.)

I’ve gone through all practice questions in schweser, and now i am half way through doing problems in curriculum. Once I am done, then I will start with mocks. Not sure how effective this strategy is but i feel like it keeps me refreshed and at least the questions are all different.
