Unlike L1 and L2, Schweser/Elan seem super-weak. Any other sources/techniques besides the official CFA exams?
I’m relying solely on Schweser QBank and Concept Checkers in addition to EOCs for now. I revisit random readings and questions once every week. QBank certainly isn’t very difficult, but it serves its purpose in my study plan: to keep concepts fresh until I’m done with my first read.
Starting in March, I’ll move to the CFAI questions on the website (new this year?) while reading through again and making more notes. In April and May I’ll turn to CFAI mock exams as much as possible (I have tests going back to 2007).
I think as long as you position them correctly in your study plan, Schweser questions aren’t bad. Just don’t expect them to serve as a good example of what you’ll see in June.
Note: I don’t feel like Schweser was any better for L2. In fact, I feel like Schweser questions at L2 were the worst of the three levels.
I like to work the schweser practice exam questions, I’ll work one book as I go thru the material, saving the other for timed mock exams. I despised the old CFAI exam on the institutes website, for level II i personally found it to be the least helpful of all the study tools.
this is in addition to the CFAI EOC questions.
Yeahh boyeeee… Royales… CFAI text make me done go blind almost…
It’s like reading every Edith Wharton story written out in pencils…seezt.
