Hello every1, just m very curious 2 know has every1 started their preparations or its still time 4 us?
waiting on the kaplan books, start once those get in
I’m about 50 pages into book 4 now (skipped through Ethics). I’m trying to read through everything once in the CFA texts (just skimming over the EOCs and no notes) by mid January. Then I’m going to take the weekly class and re-read the material in the Schweser books- hopefully going through most of the EOCs in the CFA texts and Schweser as well if I can manage that. I’m hoping that the initial reading will give me a base knowledge so that I get the most out of the class and it’s not all completely new material. Then for the final month I’ll do EOCs, mocks, etc.
I have finished reading and taking notes for Study Sessions 3-7. I am in the middle of Study Session 8. Using the CFAI text books. My plan is to have all the readings and note taking done by year-end so when January rolls around it will give me 5 months to review and do questions.
Read book 2 and half of book 3. Hoping to finish my first pass through by late January.
finished S.S 1,2,3,4,10,11.
taking practice exams right now…hope to complete 145 exams by May so leave a month for review and Stalla.
started with fixed income portfolio management…

I have just started with capital market expectations, only few pages through… I will fasten my seat belt to get ready for take-off within next week.
Anyone else who took LIII agree with this? My first time taking it but I’ve never heard LII referred to that way.
do not take L3 for granted - it is jsut as difficult, if not more, than L2
Read vol II, nearly done with vol III. Reading every word very carefully, and taking lots of notes. The material is highly relevant, particularly vol III.
Starting with Alternatives. Just got done taking the CAIA Level II last month and just trying to keep the momentum going.
complete ss3 and ss4 and taking on ss5…
skipped Ethics, finished ss3 and ss4 now going to begin ss5…I do my readings using Schweser on the subway in the morning commute (half hour a day). Going to begin reading some in evenings and weekends shortly… starting early this year as I want to be fully prepared to tackle level 3.
finished Volume one and SS 7 and 8…waiting on Kaplan lectures and notes to supplement the CFAI books. Hope to have everything done by end of April and use the last few weeks for review and mock exams with last 10 days on mock exams
