So I got my Charter letter on September 22nd or 23rd. CFAI said you should receive your Charter/Certificate 8 weeks after the official letter. Has anybody received their Charter yet?
I didn’t. Too lazy to call CFA Institute…
They are having the cerimony here on Thursday night, I am not going but I would assume theyll send it out after that.
Same here… still waiting here in NY
i called the cfa the other day …apparently, there is ‘postal issue’ and it will be sent out by the end of the year. I totally forgot about it since I am not planning to post it on any walls!
got mine the day before Christmas last year. nice present.
I assume the send the to your local society, but I am not going to the event tomorrow so hopefully it gets sent to me after.
WTF is right. first I was told I would receive it mid November. Local Society event was on Nov. 22 - I chose not to attend. then I was told the Charter would arrive early December. now I am told it is “being printed” worst is… nobody for a period of two weeks seemed to have a clue where the Charter was/is…
Received my charter today. Now waiting for the Wall Street Journal recognition, hopefully in Jan 2009.
oh yeah, the WSJ, totally forgot about that… will need to purchase a few copies. gotta get the date for it.
GOT it in Connecticut today!!! DONE ITS OVER!!! Although I do want the WSJ date as well
where can we buy a frame?
Any ideas when the WSJ published the dates last year? For the Canadian folks - any ideas when the Globe and Mail does their usual recognition as well?
ok, so after being lazy I decided to do a search from last years posts. Looks like the date last year was January 17th, 2007. So what happens if you belong to more than 1 society? Ie: home society in Western Canada, but currently primary society is in Southern US? Does the home country rule? or does the primary society rule? This is gonna suck getting copies of both papers to find out. Depends on which society has the more strict rules Yes, I recall, it was in January that the announcements go out
Anyone have a link to the PDF of the actual add? I remember I saw it once but wanted to check it out again.
Think this is what you are referring to: http://www.cfainstitute.org/aboutus/overview/currentads/recognition.html
