I tried Bloomberg but couldn’t find betas of the publicly listed companies in a specific sector. Damodaran just gave beta for the industry.
Try using the API excel function in Bloomberg and search for Beta. . . they should be in there and I think there are a couple of ways they calculate it.
I found a beta in my cereal this morning.
Google, Yahoo, MSN, Morningstar, and a number of public sites give a figure for beta, which I assume is vs the S&P. Some of them now have screening methods so you can isolate whatever sector you’re looking for.
