I’ve recently completed my undergraduate degree (B.Com) and I’m trying to decide between pursuing the CFA program or doing an MBA in Finance. My goal is to build a career in investment banking or equity research, preferably in India. I know that CFA is more affordable and focused on core finance skills, while an MBA (even from a tier 2 or 3 college) might offer more structured placement opportunities. However, I’m not sure which one is more valued by recruiters at the fresher level, especially when it comes to entry-level roles in investment banking. I’d really appreciate insights from people who have faced a similar decision or are already working in the field. What would be a better investment for long-term career growth CFA or MBA?
