I was checking their website and found out that they have 2020 version for $349 and May 2021 for $399, does anyone know which notes to buy? Is there any difference between 2020 and 2021 curriculum ? Or should I just go with the 2020 notes ?

I’d skip Schweser all together. I did use them for level 2 (and I did pass) but I found in the last 3-4 weeks before the exam when I was doing the qbank questions on cfai’s site and doing mocks I was panicking because I didn’t know a lot of material. I felt a lot of material was skipped in the notes. Felt like I had a lot of catch up to do at that point right before the exam. Just my experience.
I did not use them for level 3. But I thought they were great for level 1.
If you’re taking it in 2022, get that year’s notes. There are always some annual updates and the nuances can make the difference between pass and fail. Schweser takes several shortcuts already honestly with the material, you don’t need any double level of shortcuts.
But if you’re taking L2 in 2021, I don’t think there is any difference between 2021 and 2020 Schweser. CFA kept the same curriculum for both years due to covid delays. I just took L3 in May 2021 on my original 2020 notes due to CFA saying the curriculum for 2020-2021 was unchanged.
I second the opinion above that Schweser for L2 is “so-so” … and honestly Schweser at L3 is quite risky in my opinion. Too many shortcuts and some incorrect formulae even. I used Chalk & Board for L3 and it was levels above in my opinion. Way better.
