Which topic will appear in the morning and the afternoon

Hi everyone,

Like I mentioned in the topic, I just want to ask which topic will be asked in morning and afternoon session. Last year, it seems like the economics only show up in the afternoon session. Would the CFA institute talk about this on their website or it is random and nobody would know which one would appear on which session? Thank for your time and sorry if somebody already post this.

Don’t know where you got your information from. I took L3 last year. Economics were in the AM as well. I remember because I got <50% on it. Don’t remember the specific question though, not that I can tell you anyways.

L3 isn’t like L2. For L2 if pension was not in the AM, then it had to be on the PM. But since the format for L3 is different, you cannot tell what is on AM and what is on PM. Though I can tell you for sure that individual and institutional will be in the AM because they have been on the CFA mocks for the past ten years. Other than that just do EoC and mocks, which I’m sure you have heard of more than enough already.

What topics appear on the morning portion of the CFA is random but from a historical perspective there are some standard topics: Individual Investor IPS, Behavioral Finance and the Institutional Investor IPS. Beyond those “core topics” the remaining testable topics is any one’s guess. The CFA Institute does provide how well candidates did on the exam with the release of thier exam results, on those results you can see the various topics tested in the morning and afternoon.
