Who said Level 2 content is greater than Level 1?

i noticed that the books are slightly thinner for level 2 as well, although they have more pages. Strange, they must have used thinner paper.

they did cut 6-7 readings though. dont know how big they were???

not sure, I had the 2011 level 2 books and they had approx 500 more pages than the 2010 level 1

good for us i guess…actually not that i will probably read the cfai books anyway.

I guess, you’re a new level 2 candidate. It’s not about page numbers but you’ll discover by yourself how different and tough level 2 is. LoL Good luck.

i would say its a bit more difficult but not as much as some on here make out. I felt it to be a natural progression from level 1.

All that cutting those readings means is they’ll ask even more questions out of the footnotes or appendices.

Pretty much every L2 Candidate when they are going over their final review before the exam.

The amount of time it takes to calculate and answer a question in some of the L2 material can be multiples in difficulty and complex compared to L1. L1 is about understanding basic concepts. L2 is about extrapolating them. Knowing what a vanilla currency swap is (L1) and then spending 10-20 minutes calculating every part of the SWAP’s numerical value (L2) is dramatically different – even though the text required to ask the questions are roughly similar in size and scope.

Is that your study desk? Looks like you have been punching holes in the wall behind your desk - the joy’s of studying CFA
