I bought the Wiley Formula Sheet a while back and then stuffed it in a drawer since it’s 92 pages long. 92 pages? Ridiculous.
But, as soon as I revise a topic and move on to the next one, I forget everything that I just covered. So today I started working through the formula sheet and it’s good. Really good. There’s not explanatory text in it like in the 11th Hour Guide or brief “you need to know this” pointers like in Secret Sauce but it’s definitely worth $29 if you need to cram formulas. + it’s downloadable so you have instant access.
I’m feeling better now that I’m going through it. I can learn 92 pages of formulas in 3 weeks, right?
I also think it’s pretty good. I use it as reference and copied some of the key “cram” formulas (like that implied return rate of the H-Model - UGH!) onto 6-8 “cram” sheets that I’m using now. I’m sure we can both do it in the remaining 2.5 weeks
Hmmm. Why cram the implied rate of return of the H-model when in actual fact you know the H-model itself? To me, I feel it is a waste of memory space, considering such space could be used for some other unique formulas.
I would rather suggest you simply work out a strategy of making the implied rate of return the subject of the H-model formula using elementary algrebra right there in the exam hall.
If you’re asked the implied rate of return, try answer b) and see if it gets you the given price. If it does, you’re done. If it doesn’t, you’re still done.
I guess that I’ve answered somewhere around 9,000 questions through Qbanks, CFAI EOC, Mocks, and actual exam (between L1 & L2), and I’ve never noticed the answers are always listed in ascending order from A to C. Unbelievable…
Cool, thanks lammy, I went to order but wanted to make sure I could download first, didn’t want to be camped next to the letter box waiting… So much to absorb - pretty sure if I don’t sleep from now until after the exam I will be fine
