Hey sorry about the wierd title for the post. I basically wanted an insight about the recognition of the CFA charter in India. I still believe that large banks & brokerage houses give more emphasis to MBA’s than CFA’s. Could someone let me know of the companies in India which recognise the charter.
hi thats a good question…when i was doin my grads in india abt 4 yrs back someone suggested that i do CFA…after completing my grads i ended up workin in a brokerage firm in dubai so i took up CFA instead of an mba cuz i cud do it while i worked…now i have completed the program and working as an assistant portfolio manager in an investment firm…wud love to move to india if sme good opportunity came up…but really donno if the qualification is recognised and valued in the market considering the court cases n the fact that cas n top tier bschool grads take up most of the lucrative finance positions…atleast that was the case when i was their…cud anyone throw more light…
