Wish to Take CFA Level 1

Hello Everybody,

I am planning to pursue CFA, I have a Bachelors in Commerece from India. However it’s been 6 years since i passed the exam and i have completely forgotten all the basics. I would like to pursue CFA Level 1 from a beginners perspective. My quest to start right landed me in this forum. I would like to design a study curriculum for myself before i embark on this journey. I want to do it once and do it right. I am ready to go through all the commerce basics once gain just to get things right. But for this i need guidance and your help. I would like to know

  1. What are the training material available for CFA Level 1 in the market

  2. Which ones are the best and give in depth knowledge and helps me understand the basics well

  3. Should i pursue any accounting certifications or classes before i begin the CFA Level 1 training.

  4. What are the best self learning materials in the market.

  • Schweser (what I used)

  • Elan Guides

  • 7city etc… there are tons!

  1. Which ones are the best and give in depth knowledge and helps me understand the basics well
  • I only have experience with Schweser, but it’s all i used/needed
  1. Should i pursue any accounting certifications or classes before i begin the CFA Level 1 training.
  • not necessary, but learning accounting is important for the CFA
  1. What are the best self learning materials in the market.
  • get your hands on the Schweser/Elan materials. It’s all self study
