I’ve said this time and time again, NYC is the best place to be a single straight man. Best ratio, best selection, best etc.

krnyc - what was the premise according to you?
today’s women would do well to skip worrying about having a skinny body and focus on having a skinny mind instead
What do guys do when they want to feel attractive?
What do guys do when they want to feel attractive?
As a normal guy, I can say that I rarely if ever feel “attractive” looking or feeling. I could probably count the number of times on my hands that random girls have struck up conversations with me as an adult, and I live in Boston. Guys don’t really get made to feel attractive. At least I don’t. And I’m not particularly unattractive or anything. I work out, dress well enough, don’t smell bad. I can’t imagine what it’d be like to be “attractive” and be noticed and valued like that.

too easy - GTL
What do guys do when they want to feel attractive?
Work harder, make more money.
I can’t believe people are answering that question seriously

It didn’t seem sarcastic. Don’t call me “people.”

The article was about women feeling (and being) disposable in NYC, while OP started talking about how great it was to be a single guy there. Not exactly the message of the article, but whatever…
^ awww, qualiteh feeemales are neva disposable
All so sad. Are women and gay men, per article, really constantly sizing themselves up? Seeking affirmation? Sounds like a miserable existence. I’m starting to realize I won the moment I came out of the womb.

Women don’t strike up conversation that much although it does happen. They mainly seem to try and signal their intentions with a coy look and a smile.
Are you in the boston drinking crew too? When’s the next one lads?

We do need another meetup but everyone is mia. Ramos is cruising the world on a drinking fest with the ladies of wharton, BS is truly MIA, and the other few are caught up in the married life. That said, we’ll have one soon and extend the invite to the greater group.
Speaking of meetups, i should be in NYC/philly again in late aug

The article does allude to the point I am making. I am simply providing an alternative vantage point, the male view, on the author’s take. She references spoiled men who said beautiful nyc women were like flowers that should be replaced. The inclusion of that sentence alone affirms my initial post. Did i derail the female perspective about the unfairness? Probably, but that’s the truth in NY. Ftr, i was hardly single when i was living there so i lived primarily vicariously through my mates but the small windows of opportunity were enough to confirm this attitude.

Nice one. I’ll be in Boston a fair bit in the next 6 months so will try and make it along if you guys get something sorted. What’s the usual format? beers after work and then a marathon session ending up in Southie at like 4am?
