Hi fellow candidates,

I was just reading the requirements on getting the CFA charter/membership and it highlights 48 months of work related experience.

Out of the box, is this from when you initially subscribe to take CFA? Or can it be accummulated from when you initially worked in a financial related office/experience?

I guess in short, does it have to be 4 years from when you apply for CFA course.

No. You could have worked on the street for 20 years, and then sit for/pass three exams in 18 months (i.e., less than four years) and you’d get the charter.
