Work experience requirement

I’m one-year out of school (23 yrs old) and just passed level I. Since graduation I’ve been working in a back office operations role (cash moves, client reports) at an IM firm and recently had the opportunity to post to a more accounting-focused job at the firm (journal entries, prepping 10-k’s and 10-q’s, monthly/quarterly closes). Would either of these jobs count toward the CFA program’s 4-year work requirement? What kind of jobs do people pursuing a CFA usually hold?

Nope. You need to be directly involved in the “investment decision making process”, and it doesn’t sound like either job would qualify. They have a list of examples of jobs that qualify on the CFAI website.
