Secondary responsibilities will relate to providing support in the evaluation of “high impact” opportunities, with the expectation that greater involvement in more complex propositions is a natural progression for this role. Success in this role will be based on detailed knowledge of internal service offerings and external market influences. From an internal perspective, the financial analyst must be aware of Worldwide Securities Services’ products and strategy for the sector or market in question. On an external basis, a full understanding and appreciation of the nature of global market developments and the competitive landscape is essential to ensure this rationale is built into the analysis when pricing the new business opportunities, taking into account a number of factors prior to quoting a price. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with senior business executives. Key Responsibilities Responsibility for pricing standard Securities company deals for the EMEA region Act as a key control and support function within the deal/pricing process to all parties involved Owner of the deal financials, with ability to liase with senior management, product heads and deal sponsors as well as justify the derivations of the financials and the assumptions used within the build of the model Development of competitor analysis, for a full picture to be built for future deal considerations Maintenance and analysis of historical deal evaluation data, including deal tracking Development of financial models to support new business propositions, using new methods specifically Investor Services Cost to Serve model and Product Pricing for expense and market revenue Work with the RFP team to incorporate and report financial pricing information to the client via the firm’s official response Work with Financial Management and the New Business Implementation to confirm all expense parameters and control factors are considered and built into the pre-deal analysis Qualifications Key Skills: Excellent influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal at all personnel levels Proven skills in analysis and reporting Strong PC skills (must be aware of database and other PC applications and their capabilities – strong proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint) Ability to be self-motivated and questioning of deal rationale, seeking to justify the motivation behind each deal Ability to deal with multiple tasks and requests in a fast paced and evolving environment, coupled with prioritisation, re-prioritisation and delivery to client Ability to interact and deal with all levels of personnel Excellent communication and relationship skills, working closely with Sales, Product Managers and Relationship Managers Ability to confidently engage with the WSS deal sponsors justifying and suggesting the optimal approach to each new deal. Ability to see the bigger picture and factor in any additional issues when quoting on business Willingness to contribute in a team environment, as well as take personal responsibility for the delivery of standard deal pricing Ability to operate effectively in an unpredictable, time constrained and high pressure environment Full commitment to the deal and ultimate responsibility for the financials of the standard business proposals, including preparation of communication documentation and presentations
