I got together with some buddies last night and watched Wrestlemania. I haven’t watched wrestling on a regular basis in over 15 years, but good lord was it entertaining.
The Undertaker / Triple H match was insane. I wasn’t too into the main event of The Rock / John Cena, and it started out slow, but it was fantastic. I would have liked the women’s match to be more like the mud wrestling / night gown / etc matches that were going on when I used to watch, though.
At the end, all of us were impressed with the show and want to watch again next year. Good stuff
Frank, it’s not a sport, and I don’t think it should be judged as one. It’s a soap opera that has wrestling matches as the setting. I don’t see how it’s different from shows like Spartacus, Friday Night Lights or even Medieval Times. I don’t go to Medieval Times and expect the knights to actually kill each other.
