Is it required to write formulas in the essay quesions or directly write calculations?
It may not be required, but it can’t hurt.
I’d do it.

I wouldn’t write the formula.
.In fact, since I’m an accountant, I didn’t use most of the formulas in the tax section anyway. I used my own method. I still think I got full credit for the answer.
