Wrote after the Time called

Come on guys, don’t be so tough on him. I mean really, 2 minutes…I had to line up for the beers after the pm session and that took a couple of minutes. Might as well just make good use of time and answer a few more questions.

If we look at the big picture - we sat for 6 hours with a break inbetween. We have worked on this for many months, some of us years. Countless weekends are gone, not to return. Thousands of pages, cases, formulae. What is the weight of 2 minutes…

The more I think about it…we should petition in his favour!

Why troll me brah?

I truly believe you would should go and sit with Rahul’s grandpa. He could teach you a thing or two about life. Best, IWP

2 minutes is cutting corners. Yes, the actual time was probably immaterial … but it’s really the principle of the matter. Cutting corners is against the CFA “ethos.”

Stretching, on the other hand, is a legitimately stupid reason for a PCP.

Respectfully, I disagree.

I think that two minutes is blatant defiance, not remotely “cutting corners”.

What matters, however, is what CFA Institute thinks. I suspect that their interpretation is closer to mine than to yours.

I, for one, would never dream of testing them on this topic. The reward/risk ratio is far too low.

Honestly, I am truly disappointed that I gotcha.

Am I the only one that realized IWP was being sarcastic?

lol. No. But I admit that I wasn’t entirely sure.

the whole post seems like quite a troll…

Finally I have received a PCP investigation…

it said that I wrote inmediately after the time finished 2 questios( they don’t say anithing about second past after the exam) :S and 2 proctors have signed the report.

what a mess! it is false!

You received the physical letter by post or email?

physical letter!

I have forgotten to say that in the report… it says that I admited that I wrote question! WTF?

I think cases such as stretching can be fought but holding pencil after time was called off is an undefendable offence.

Touché.

Stretching is not a violation… If stretching gives the appearance of cheating, then you will be in violation, and those cases are very rarely won. http://www.cfainstitute.org/ethics/conduct/sanctions/Pages/index.aspx

Sorry to hear that Dani.

Just in order to make some thoughts that have previously been discussed by AF users clear, could you please answer the following?

  1. Did you receive the exam results date notification last week?

  2. Has your account on CFAI website been locked (i.e., are you able to edit your profile?)

  3. Did you receive the letter by certified or ordinary mail?

  4. Exam location, I guess it is safe to assume that you took it in Madrid given that you are spanish, right?

Once again, I am really sorry that you got the mail. Wish you the best of lucks!!

In a MCQ exam …any form of stretching can be viewed as cheating…

Yes I have received the email with the results date. I have received a physical letter by ordinary mail. I wrote the exam in Madrid.

The report say that 2 proctors saw me writing 2 questions inmediately after the time had finished and then I admitted that (WTF? even if it was true , why would I admitted that in front of the proctor? It have no sense!!!)

Could anyone give advice?

If I were you, I would be honest to myself. If your belief is that you did not write any of those 2 questions and you have evidence that supports this, then write back a report defending your case. in the other hand, if you actually did continue writing, I would send back an apology letter and pray for the best.

Btw, have you checked your account status on CFAI website? Are you able to edit your profile?

Good luck!
