If you could go anywhere in the world, except Europe, for a week and you were based on the East Coast of the US where would you go? Cost is not a factor. Travel time would likely be over Christmas.
What’s wtong with Europe?
French Lick, IN
I’ve been to most of Europe at one point or another.
Thailand. Though not the best time of year to go, still a blast.
Iceland? Technically Europe, but different. Just considering your East Coast locale, otherwise HK or Tokyo?
Snowboarding / skiing near Vancouver. Otherwise Australia, where it will be summertime.
New Zealand
+1 on new zealand
Rwanda.
These are my choices:
Hong Kong
Tokyo
Vietnam
Brazil
Argentina
Belize
You’re going to chew up a day each way getting to Asia which makes it not ideal for only one week of vacation but HK / Tokyo are so awesome that it might be worth it anyway. Never been to Vietnam, that probably takes more than a week to do it right. I would go to South America if Europe is out.
Go to Ecuador and take one of those 6 day Galapagos cruises.
Folks suggesting NZ and Australia… You’d honestly make that trek from East Coast for a week off?
WTF it’s the real place?!?
Colombia, Thailand, and Turkey (does that count as Europe for you?)
Next down on list: Vietnam, South Africa, Egypt, Peru
Brazil is high on the list too, if you haven’t gone before.
Morocco? Or stick in the US… San Diego, Hawaii.
^Egypt? You have a high risk tolerance haha
Morocco. See a blue city. Camel ride through the desert. Go to a market and haggle for a rug. See an old world walled in city.
Joplin, MO
It’s real alright. Just ask Larry Bird.
