3/3 schweser for reading, cfai & schweser for questions.
Feels amazing to be done! Dec 09, June 10, June 11! A year for every CFA letter that will be attached to my name for life.
i passed level 1 on 2009, 2 on 2010 and 3 on 2011 but i’m not eligible to join the 3/3 club because i failed level 1 in 2008… good thing is, it doesn’t show on your resume!
3/3 2009-11 It doesn’t mean I’m better than anyone who isn’t 3/3, it just means that here and now I want the small satisfaction of saying I set a hard task and worked damn hard to fulfil it. I don’t say much on the forum - but give me my moment! Our first child came along the way (just after level one) and got a big job promotion a year ago, so at times it was tough. Also had a self imposed goal for level 3 that up until the last month I wouldn’t work on CFA in evenings or weekends as it compromised family life too much. I had a lot of very early mornings, getting up and doing 2 hours in the dark at my desk before starting a normal day. My motivation for getting 3/3 was never to be better - it was to ensure I never had to tell my family that I was going to have to put them through more than I absolutely had to. My learning from this is that if you are focused and dedicated then great things are achievable. And one footnote - I am interested how many of the 3/3ers used just Schweser (+ CFA for questions.) I did too, and I don’t think I could have done it any other way.
Dec 09 - Jun 11. Mourinho’s triplete achieved. Gonna add the CFA to my MSc in Maths… BTW: used rigorously only Schweser, CFAI books never ever opened for all the three exams. Forza Inter…

Can I be considered 3 from 3, as I was signed up for June 2010 test but never opened a book once to study for it or sat the exam? Also all schweser, never once touched the CFA institute material.
^Yes you can.
