Given we have ~70 days till d-day, just wondering:
1.) Where are you in your studies currently (i.e. almost done w/ first pass, second round, practice ?'s only, review, mocks, or daydreaming (lol))?
2.) What’s your plan of attack for the next two months?
3.) Any scheduled time-off & how are you planning to utilize it?
Hoping this will light my fire after the terrible last few weeks w/barely any studying and kick my “neutral” mode into high gear! Amen.
hope to complete 1st read by mid April. Then start reviewing.followed by mocks and then focus on weak areas.Have never been good at learning formulas by heart.
Still in my first pass. Reading Elan study notes and solving the Elan PQs. I don’t think I’ll be done with my first pass before the 10th of April. However, considering I’m doing it thoroughly except a few readings here and there, I hope to spend not more than 3 weeks doing my second pass which includes doing the CFAI BBs and EOCs. Is this too ambitious? Should I be giving more time to my second pass?
If this works out, I should be left with 4 weeks of study time doing the readings at which I’m not very confident and giving mocks.
I shall be taking the last two weeks off from work to study.

I’ve just started to do the EOC and BB after doing my first pass on Schweser. I think it’s going to take me about 6 weeks in total…that’s doing c2 study sessions a day. Some of the readings have close to 40 BB in them on top of the 20-30 EOCs.
I’m attempting to finish the BB and EOC by week commencing 22nd April…that leaves 6weeks of exams and review time…I also have 2 weeks off.
I’m not as confident for L2 as I was for L1…arghh!!

Finished my first reading through Schweser, and started review with Corp. Finc. Watching Schweser videos, following along in CFAI text, and pausing to do Blue Boxes and EOC questions.
Plan to take first full mock the first Saturday in April. Right now I have the 3 Schweser Vol I mocks, the CFAI mock from this year, and then my local society does a mock on 5/18 (you can pick Schweser or Boston).
I think I’ll use Q-bank some, but will try to focus on reviewing the mocks and getting comfortable with item sets. I had some downtime at work this week, so I went and made my own “Schweser notes” for FRA & Equity. Just laid out each LOS, and filled in the info by going through the CFAI text. That was actually pretty helpful, and will be good for review. Planning on taking the last week in May off.
Finished through first pass through the Schweser notes and have done all the Schweser end of chapter questions. Using Elan lecture videos to review the big sections and doing Schweser Q bank like 60 q’s per day. I like setting the quiz format to electronic and then show answer as you go as even when you guess right you can read the explanation.
I am just starting the Alternative investment part…My goal is to finish 3 weeks before exam day then have a one week reading review and 2 weekd of mock exam, practice, practice, practice…don’t plan to take off (maybe fri before the exam) so hard to take of from my job and I am not gonna spoil vacation time to study. I should say that I study deep (I don’t do the first pass) so I just come back and read the LOS summary and do some Qbank to refresh my memory…
I do the ECOs, BB, and schweser concept checker after each reading…
Finished second pass on 2nd week of this month since then practising Qbank, item set question from third party along with CFAI LOS. Last 2 months for mocks and to working on my weak areas.
Going through the BB and EOC in the CFAI books, by order of weight. Already through Equity and Quant, on FI right now. Also trying to work in 300 schweser qbank per weekend, and possibly a few during the week.
After four weeks of the above, I will clamp down on making sure I know all of the formulas and sit the first mock leaving May for mocks and review.
Man this is coming up fast, definitely not as confident as L1 and I’ve already put in more time.
Finish first readings around April 25th
April 27: 3rd party mock exam (incl. with a seminar I’m taking). Very low expectations for this haha.
First 2 weeks May: all EOC’s, concept checkers, maybe some qbank, and a mock on each weekend
Last 2 weeks May: vacation booked, mix of mock’s, reviewing answers, and redoing EOC’s
June 1: exam, then getting really, really drunk
June 2: hangover sunday
June 3: last vacation day, off work to mope around and do absolutely nothing, guilt free
Got Econ, FRA and PM still to cover, and I remember next to nothing of the topics I covered so far.
Busy with Quant now, and changed the plan from reading + Schweser QBank only on first pass to reading + full all questions I can find drill on the topic which I hope will save me some time as I might retain it better.
I’ve been pretty lazy the past few weeks/months, so it’s full on from now on to get there.

You guys who finish all sections, time wise, how much did you spend on the onces I finished compared to the ones I have left? To help me with my time mgmt…
Myself I felt Quant was pretty tough compared to it’s weighting, I kind of had to leave it before I felt comfortable with the material. Fin Rep is a mountain, spend a lot of time on it, still doesn’t feel that great…
Just have Quant and Ethics to read for my first pass through Schweser. Halfway through Arif’s videos. Hoping to finish by the end of the month. Then EOCs and mocks for last two months.
I am really going to focus on the big 5 for review and hopefully the others will fall into place.
Yup, I have a few days off from work next week so hoping to complete the material by end of this month/first week of April & then drill EOCs/q-bank/mocks for the next two months.
I feel like I’m just completely drained & annoyed by almost everyone - and honestly I haven’t even put in half the time that I did at L1. I still get good 6-7 hrs of sleep except it is DEF not quality sleep - hoping a few days off work will help me get things back in perspective!
