Amazing physical feats?

So, there’s a guy in my office who is going to try to swim the English Channel at the end of this month. Wtf? And here I am feeling smug about passing some stupid CFA test. Anyway, this has inspired me to train for some kind of physical feat as well. Perhaps I will try to do a half-marathon, and maybe a full marathon eventually. To be honest, this was something on my neglected list of “things to do before I die”. Does anyone have any other ideas? There is more to life than just making money. I want to be passionate about something other than my job. Who is with me? (Though now that I think about it, there does seem to be a correlation between marathon/triathlon competitors and success in business. Not sure if it is causative, though.)

Now I know what people who don’t get laid do in their free time.

If anyone mentions tennis this thread will get nuked.

^There is more to life than just getting laid.

^such as?

karate (must be able to break 20 bricks), weight lifting (must be able to bench 500), etc. They are all amazing feats and can be included in a video CV when you apply for jobs later.

I’m always hungry after said activity.

Hello Mister Walrus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > (Though now that I think about it, there does seem > to be a correlation between marathon/triathlon > competitors and success in business. My dream is to one day run the marathon in a respectable time before I die. I’m practicing, but this is no CFA

Celebrate Festivus- it has the feats of strength.

shaolin monks - pure sickness…

I once spent over an hour in the same “position” if you know what I mean. That required a lot of physical and mental stamina.

I was getting a lot of verbal encouragement so I kept going.

Plus we had like an hour and a half to kill before our dinner reservations.

Excellent! First dessert, then dinner!

I used to date a gal that ran marathons. Great body, but saved all her energy for the races. If you know what I mean.
