Benjamin Netanyahu

That’s for us to decide. Don’t need lectures from a tinpot PM who needs our foreign aid. Republicans are fools for letting our lapdogs bark at us.

This whole not negotiating with terrorists is nonsense.

After the IRA nearly eliminated the entire British cabinet, both parties were talking to get a deal done. The Spanish government sat down with the Basque after they killed 21 people in a shopping center bombing. And of course Israel negotiated with the PLO during the Oslo accord and continue to negotiate with Hamas and Hezbollah when it comes to prisoner exchanges. Both Bush and Obama administrations negotiated with Al-Qaeda and Taliban networks to secure releases of American missionaries.

If someone is so ideological to believe that an enemy shouldn’t be negotiated with, then that someone shouldn’t hold a diplomatic position.

Time will tell, if this negotations were successful or they will fail like Clineton’s N Korea accord.

The whole ‘we will not negotiate with terrorists’ thing is jingoistic bullshit.

It’s simple here, Israeli and the U.S. interests are not aligned on the Iran issue:

  1. Israel has every incentive to preemptively go to war with Iran.

  2. The U.S. has no existential reason to go to war.

  3. Israel does not want to live with a Nuclear Iran

  4. The U.S. could live with a Nuclear Iran (as we live with a Nuclear North Korea)

Why is Iran a “terrorist state”?

Also there is no way to destroy Iran’s facilities outside of a long aerial campaign over Iran, something Israel cannot do, and the US is unwilling to do. This is not like bombing the Syrian or Iraqi nuclear reactors, Iran has been planning this for years, with multiple centers throughout the country, near mountains etc. Israel can carry out a few strikes, but I doubt they have the capability and infrastructure to carry out sorties deep in Iranian airspace far away from any friendly base.

Yah Bibi is great,

The mistake smart people make is thinking everyone else is dumb.

Bibi is arrogant, manipulative and disrespectful to his benefactors. He is not interested in peace.

Netanyahu’s true colors come out. He promised today no statehood for Palestinians if elected and will continue to promote construction in constested territories. Can’t say I’m surprised as I have been stating this since his election in 2009. He never had any intention to reach a deal.
