400 meter is my least favorite. You just run as fast as you can, very tough to pace and just pure pain for the last half. In HS we used to have to run the mile under 6 and the 400 under a minute. The 400 was by far worse.

I played bball and baseball in HS, if i could go back in time i would have wrestled and done track (i wish i learned the proper mechanics of sprinting)

Our football coach made us run quarters when we messed up. Wasn’t much fun at all, and I never finished one in sub-60 (or 70 or 80 for that matter). Probably could have broken the 70 barrier when I was in the Marine Corps, though.
It was for soccer pre-season. Basically, they wouldn’t put you on the team it you showed up to pre-season out of shape. Our team was pretty legit, had several people go on to be captains at D-1 and Ivy schools and have some alums playing pro now, although not in a real league in Europe.
^You saying MLS isn’t a “real” league? I wonder if Isildurr, Palantir, and Ramos would agree with you.
FWIW–I’m a Premier League fan, when I can watch it. Especially ManU and Tottenham. Unfortunately, I don’t get a lot of the games on TV.

I see really fit girls go out with fat guys all the time (well not ALL the time, but regularly). But do you guys see a lot of fit athletic guys go out with chubby girls??

We jog to the track which is just over a mile away. It is a high school in a nice section of Silicon Valley with a rubber track. We stretch for a bit. The track is 400 m. We jog the curves and sprint the straight parts. So we do a sprint then jog the curve, then sprint, jog, etc. We don’t rest for long, it is whatever time it takes to jog 100 m.
It is pretty brutal by the end. Then we jog home.

Many brothas like chubby women (or more) and many of the men are quite fit. Most white guys have a problem being seen with with big women. I suspect they don’t like the implication that “it means they can’t get a classically beautiful women.”
