Nothing new concerning young voters deciding to watch Netflix or logging in on FB instead of voting.
Just heard that youngsters that overwhelmingly voted to stay have on average 69 years left to live with yesterday’s result while the baby boomers that overwhelmingly voted to leave have on average only 16 years left in their lives to live under yesterday’s result.
Someone actually proposed at one point to ban the old people from voting in the referendum, since they have less stake in the outcome. Anyway, yeah, it is weird that old people want Brexit, since any possible benefit will only come into effect in the long term, and the short term will most likely contain many difficulties. Conclusion: old people just want the world to burn.
It definitely won’t trigger such events automatically but next time Merkel comes around with more austerity and medieval measures she may receive a slap in the face.
Sorry “mate” I don’t read the Daily Mail, so I really couldn’t comment.
It was a reference to the repeated use of the reply “end of…” by Gove when he was asked questions about education reform he didn’t want to answer a while back; I thought it was poignant given how instrumental he was in securing the “Leave” vote.
Just because you are obviously butthurt by the result, no need to resort to snidey comments
