Fuck no we’re not.

I figured. 10% retards

Hey that is offensive to retards.

Of course the prophet wasn’t really a dog. He truely was a pedofile though, so we can all call him that. Also, a rapist. At least according to many sources.

I believe the term retard is offensive to the PC police and I’m shocked at that type of language and its unfortunate that things have reached that low. To criticize or challenge an idea is acceptable, to get that offensive toward a group is inconsiderate. And to be frank, am surprised to encounter such a language in this Forum. I thought contributors to this Forum are more enlightened.

Well to be fair, it was probably offensive to Ohai’s avatar to call the prophet a dog to begin with… and unfair.

I think this is a good example of what not to do. So Audacious here is a prized “moderate Muslim” that the West fantasizes about. Why go out and deliberately try to piss off Muslims, which is exactly what you are trying to do. While I generally agree with your views on Islam, do you think that your comments will suddenly make Muslims see the light?

Fair enough, I was definitely baiting him. Anyhow I don’t think there is any way this conversation was ever going to impact the reality over there.

I have a few questions for audacious:

  1. Would you suck the tongue of your daughter?
  2. Would you kiss your daughters breasts ?
  3. Do you think you can marry an underage (I mean 9 and not 18) girl and entertain yourself sexually with her without penetration ?

If you agree to any of these I have no further argument since we are not standing on any common ground, if you say no, why on earth there are huge accounts of these events in islam done by the prophet. Please enlighten me.

Edit:I am not calling anyone a dog or a cow.I just cannot follow the line of thinking of someone who does shit like that, regardless of cultural biases.Maybe I am biased ,who knows.

Although, I’m not even sure what qualifies Audacious as a “moderate Muslim” unless the only requirement is not supporting ISIS. Other than that, I see is a UAE based Sunni that defends the KSA (Sunni) non-stop, clearing them of any clear association witih terrorist groups and ISIS (Sunni) while simultaneously demonizing Iran (Shia) and inexplicably attempting to link Iran to ISIS despite Iran’s active ground presence in Iraq. So basically I just see a Sunni pumping the Sunni agenda under the flag of moderation, i.e. every pitfall the US has fallen into over the past three decades.

rahul, your roy is showing…

There is no such thing as a Moderate in Islam, very binary. At least in the sunni faith. The shiite is pretty bad too, just less extreme.

I agree with you on this. He did seem to bend over to defend the KSA which is ridiculous. I will give him that he at least admitted the younger generation of Iranians seems to be a bit better, here is to hoping younger generations in Sunni countries do the same and everyone grows up a little.

Oh jesus not this crap again. I see this comment like 10x a day on reddit from little kids who think its edgy and cool to say this crap. In America I know tons of moderate muslims personally. They tend to be like your typical christian in this country (i.e. they dont worship nearly as often, faith is less central to their life)

Lot of muslims in that cologne subreddit? I can see that.

lol well played, well played

rofl

And there in lies the problem, you feel others shouldn’t call your prophet a dog, and if they do, violence is what crosses your mind. Most modern Christians take abuse daily yet they don’t go bomb those that denigrate their beliefs. You even think the language should be censored. You are a dinasour and the problem. We will die for our beliefs too. One day the giant will be awakened again, and the party will be on. You have no idea how threatening we find your talk of censorship. Keep it up. We Americans are pretty good at making you think you are hearing the wrath of God.

From my experience abroad, it can be difficult to be what Americans would consider to be a “moderately” religious person in some Muslim countries, since the religion tends to be institutionalized into government and all parts of society. This is a religion, after all, that teaches its followers to establish an entire Islamic state. In some countries, you can be arrested and punished for violating religious law, you can only eat halal food since all restaurants must get halal certification, you cannot legally officially change your religion, no one will serve you alcohol if you are Muslim, the King is also the head of religion, or countless other stuff like that. Look at Saudi Arabia laws, for instance. As a result, Muslims in these places must follow religious practices and are more religious by definition.

Of course, once people are removed from such an environment, like if they go to the US, they have more freedom to do other things. So, in practice they become less religious in this less strict environment.

The whole killing apostates thing makes it a bit tricky to renounce Islam
