I went to a client meeting today and met a HCB. Probably makes 2x what I do and actually does something meaningful for a living, as its only tangential to finance. She’s old though, probably 32-33. AF comments are welcomed.

Just saw an interesting survey. Savers have a better chance of getting married than spenders. Savers would never consider marrying spenders, while spenders are open to marrying savers.
See, I’m 24 and getting dangerously close to my quarter life crisis. Just to add a bit of context to that…

Anyone thinks Asian men are likely to cheat on their wives than Western men? No? Due to tradition bounds, I see Asian men tend to get married at their 20s and many of them didn’t move in with their girls before the marriage. So they somehow get disappointed with their wives when they are under one roof with each other. That leads to cheating too.
Looking back those days, I don’t think I was perfectly fine being that female soulmate. I found that relationship a waste of time sometimes. Anyway, it’s been over for a couple of years. We are still friends (in the true meaning of friendship). I am content with my life now with many career targets that I want to obtain :).

That happened to someone i know, she’s married to a guy who cheats on her but he claimed he is only doing it because he gets money (in terms of investment to his “business ventures”) from that other woman - like as if it’s a legitimate reason to cheat.
This leads to another topic which i am going to post… marriage bounded by children… another disaster!

I have a friend in that situation. The lady makes bank and pays for everything. Problem is she is bat5h1t crazy and emotionally unstable. He is riding the emotiional roller coaster for the free food and booze. I bet he’s already benefitted five digits so far in consumption and sometimes cash (it’s only been like 6 months. i’ve come over twice and he has $1000 from the night before that she gave him to gamble with ha ha)
