Chat with Uber driver

Why? Just tell the blower that she/he better swallow.

Perfect, next time I slay a 10, I’ll call uber, demand she get to work, then the driver will kick her out when she’s/I’m done and I can go home in peace.

Respect.

not sure where to put this

Have you ever seen a New York cyclist who does not deserve to be doored?

^your favorite delivery guy?

Isn’t there a policy in place about not outing ones personal information? I’m shocked itera hasn’t zapped that link yet.

“Uber says half of its UberX drivers in NYC make above $90,766. But we couldn’t find one.” http://www.slate.com/articles/business/moneybox/2014/10/uber_driver_salary_the_ride_sharing_company_says_its_drivers_make_great.html

not bad

^ I wonder if there is a market for surge pricing only drivers, like a peaking simple cycle natural gas generator. I only drive when rates cross a threshold.

^ My friends who were out on Friday night said Uber surge prices were like 4x-5x. I briefly considered getting registered as an Uber X driver and just driving peak nights.

There was a story on Yahoo earlier today about 7x surge pricing in Denver over the weekend. 18 mile drive cost a dude nearly $600.

^ Makes me afraid to use Uber on any kind of hoilday.

wow what a rip

The customer knows in advance what they’re paying right? Its not a blind market order into the abyss?

Yes, if there’s a “surge” say 2x or 3x+ etc pricing , the Uber app alert you AND force you to confirm that you are OK with the higher fee.

No one to blame but the rider if he/she gets saddled with a far higher bill vs normal.

In this particular case, the dude admitted that he was not that familiar with the app and realized after the fact that the option was there to get the quote in advance and he didn’t tap it. He also admitted that he didn’t pay enough attention and selected the highest level of car when cheaper cars were likely available.

These multipliers are crazy, the highest i’ve seen it in London is 2.25x. This is n’t even christmas season and these people are getting 6-7x pricing.

this is fuked up

So I’m going to create an app that connects consumers with unlicesned medical practices. Very convenient. Most of these practices are located in private homes, maybe even your neighbor, and since the practioner doesn’t have to comply with pesky regulation, the fees are much lower. I’ll take a cut of each transaction and we’ll make billions. This is currently done in the shadows, but laws are just suggestions and compliance is optional. Change is here and the cost just to get a prescription for antibiotics is too high. No stopping technology. Do i have any backers? Risk disclosure-we may be fined an amount that is a factor of all the commission we collect for facilitating illegal activity and may even serve jail time.

Uber has entered Moscow. Rough road. Common place for private vehicles to give rides to pedestrians for a fee. Hold up your hand. Ivan will stop. Quick negotiation and you’re on your way. Cheap, cheap. Ivan keeps all his fare. I wonder if an app funded by advertising could act as the TNC… And not to mention the government … http://sputniknews.com/analysis/20140918/193065824/Luxurious-Taxi-App-Uber-at-Risk-in-Russia.html
