Dating in the workplace - pro or con? I am mostly con about it, but I’ve seen some successful relationship come about (and they’re married now). But I have also heard some horror stories. At this one top M&A firm, there was a really hot receptionist that hit on several of the seniors at the firm, and one partner fell for the bait. Later on, he got hit with a huge sexual harassment lawsuit with all of the embarrassing emails to follow suit. Any personal experiences?
…none that I’ll admit to.
Met my wife at work, it was no drama. Sometimes a work relationship works out, sometimes it doesn’t. In general though, it’s probably best avoided.
It’s really fun when you try to keep it secret. Those kisses in the parking lot … mmm. I miss California.
i have a great story on this… will post this weekend
you are such a tease goldenboy
there is this site called brazzers.com which document a lot of workplace relationships. you should check it out.

Con Don’t Sh!t where you eat. I don’t have any personal experience with it.

^ thank god I checked that site on my blackberry. that’s definitely not safe for work, unless you work in an artillery shop. there are some serious cannons on display there, with potential to cause some real damage. the only reasonable defense would be a high-speed motorboat.
I say not to- but maybe ok if large company w/ no real interaction. Nothing intra-department or even in close working units. Also ok above entry- lower level and def. no go if large difference in position/ authority.

Come on, that’s too restrictive: no this, no that, no anything. We’re humans and just follow our hearts. I say Ocean Mist should say yes to the guy who’s flirting with her and see what happens.
BTW, FrankAlabia, you gotta remember to give people a heads up whether the site is NSFW! Some poor forum participant might have lost his job or CFA eligibility after visiting that site. j/k…i think
Last week, we had a layoff and a couple (wife and husband both VPs and been working here for 5+ years) both worked here but different department got canned.

No personal stories so far? Y’all are no fun!
