^^ congrats!
So I paid my dues and submitted my PCS yesterday and received confirmation from CFAI. I logged onto the website and sure enough the letters CFA appeared after my name. I also received an email from CFAI with my name followed by CFA in the email. After a few hours, however, I logged back on and the letters were gone. Furthermore, when I search myself in the member directory it comes up as me being a member but not a charterholder as there are no letters by my name. I called CFAI and they confirmed I had a right to use the CFA designiation but I am concerned that I am now showing up as a CFA Charterholder in the member directory. Has anyone else had this sytems issue?
My application was approved by CFAI on the 14th. It’s been under society review since then. I emailed my society last week and I was told the board is reviewing applications. The wait is killing me!!
Rick are you waiting on Toronto by chance? I was approved the 14th as well and am still waiting
I applied about a week ago, 23 days remaining now.
Are you guys finding it always take the full “remaining days” or is this just a maximum time to wait and you suddenly just get approved?
My work experience has been approved today (btw, the “remaining days” field was never populated) and I immediately paid the due fees. 10 minutes later the 3 letters appear after my name on the CFAI website
Never give up (I failed more than once during my journey)…becuase when it’s finally a success, it feels damn good…
I got a letter (no email) to join NYSSA or wait 30-days in which the CFAI will send instructions on joining w/o joining a local society. My application still says 23-days remaining online. I think I’m just going to join and push my work to reimburse as I am too anxious. $325 is too me way too expensive. I think $150 is fair.
Received notice to activate membership yesterday (decision date count down to 24). I am in Hong Kong, HKSFA.
I applied the day after the exam results and got approved within 5 days.
After all these years, I see you have made your *FIRST* comment in this forum. This is obviously an issue of *key* importance in your eyes.
Who cares if this is his first comment? At least he isn’t ranting about how unfair life or the exams are like a lot of people on here do.
I sent in the application three days ago; nothing on “remaining days” either. I really really wish I would have done this in July…wap wap
Finally approved yesterday from local society, paid the dues, immediately could find myself in the member directory…Although the CFA next to my name took some time to appear…
The local society was sending out inviatations for some event and this got done at the same time…so I beleive the sciety had met yesterday…
Since most of the society members have a regular jobs, I can understand that it may take weeks to do these approvals…
Anyway, finally a CFA Charterholder Long long journey…comes to an end!
My CFA sociey only reviews applications once a month and I missed the deadline(Aug 15th).
Errrr!
HOW TO FIND OUT THE SOCIETY REVIEW APPLICATION DATES ?
WHATS THEIR REVIEW PROCESS . I MEAN DO THEY INTERVIEW THE CANDIDATE OR ANYONE FROM THE WORKPLACE . OR THEY JUST CONTACT THE WORKPLACE USING EMAIL / PHONE ?
OR DO THEY MEET THE OFFICE PERSON IN PERSON ?
I finally applied past monday the 1st. How long do you consider it may take? I am settled in Spain, EU…
Thanks a lot!
How long did it take for you to get the work experience’s aproval?
I submitted my application on 8/26 and it has been under “Work Experience Review” since. It has only been 7 business days but now I am starting to get a little impatient. I do not have anything populated within the “Decision Days” field.
EDIT: As of this afternoon all of my work experience was accepted and now my status says “Under Review - Society” with “Decision Days Remaining” populated with 30. I am thinking about calling the local society to inquire about when they do these reviews? Anybody have any suggestions? I think I have seen a few people suggest they do a review of outstanding applications a few times a month. Another EDIT: I called the local society. Apparently this is true; they do two reviews a month. If I am not on this most recent batch/list CFA sent to the local society I will be on the next. Sounds like (assuming the local society approves) it will be at worst still a few weeks. That would put me at roughly 3 - 4 full weeks for the entire process…if anyone is curious.
Thanks, I consider then that I won’t have approval from CFAI before next Wednesday…
Anyone waiting on the Boston Bsas society to finish their review?
