Because I don’t enjoy cooking and never do it, it takes a tremendous amount of effort for me to make something that will more likely than not, suck. From my personal perspective, it’s just never worth the effort.
i rock classic italian (e.g. bolognese, veal shanks) and french stuff (e.g. coq au vin, beef bourguignon) pretty well. my japanese is decent too (e.g. tempura, hibachi-type stuff, rice, soups). wife’s crazy good at chinese, “american” and any baking. kids are well fed.
