SO for those who still see Level II Registration, is anyone actually able to re-register for level 2? or is it just the link for the information on the exam from 6/7/8?

it is funny cause i saw L2 registration link up until results were released. So i thought i failed and when i checked the results i saw pass. I mean there wasn’t a time i saw the link disappear at all. I dont really know if anyone who got the link failed last year, but if you didnt get the link yet, i wouldnt worry
Now that I have the “Register for Level III” link, I am more worried. I will believe it when I see my official results on Tuesday.
I let myself get sucked into getting excited about having the link, but as I think about it, it seems there are proportionally too many people getting the link. The pass rate would be like 88%.

I would say it looks like 60% have received the link and 40% have not. I stopped counting when I got mine.
I have this great visual of some IT jackoff at CFA headquarters with his screwdriver stuck in a server getting zapped every time someone refreshes the link.

I just got back from a family party and checked the site adn I have the L III link now (didn’t a couple of hours ago). I don’t think it means anything. If Smarshy doesn’t have it…it doesn’t mean crap.
i think that is pathetic, if i would design the system this would never EVER happen. I mean are you kidding me? the have what? 140K candidates this YEAR? That is it. How long will it take to run a bulk update to update all pass fail from separate table which is populated through admin screen by graders? 5 mins TOPS, and then you update a single flag that turns on the ability to see the results. Smooth and no hassle. The IT backing of CFAI institute is PATHETIC
Now I am little bit confused. Although I made many stupid mistakes, I think did good enough to pass. Now I’ve got the L II link with the check mark missing, which makes me think I failed. Is there anyone who feels the same way? For those who got the L III link, how confident are you guys about your score?

Still have Level II Registration, but inside that link, the checkmark for the test registration is gone and you can look at test centers to the right. But you can’t choose the test center or test type (e.g., Level II, etc) While it really depends on how CFAI resets all of our profiles, I would much perfer to see Level III right now. Did anyone loose the check mark for registration before it transitioned over to the Level III Registration Link.
Alot is said about insensitivities of CFAI, but I, for one, cant wait to be a big swinging d**k with the Institute so I can run just these kind of mindf**cks and then laugh as I read this forum. Anyone feel different??

The IT > backing of CFAI institute is PATHETIC i’m a tech retard (forgive me if this is offensive, but that is what i am). so csk, is there any reason for the tech guys at cfai to turn everyone’s link for level 3 on for some reason? like testing? would they need to do something like that? or they just straight up fking with us?
No reason, but if i fail L3 this year, i will see most of you next year, and trust me, next year i will make sure i ace it.

I can see some humor in all of this. This is the first year CFAI announced a specific release date and time. I imagine this is because they were tired of their system bogging down in the days and weeks leading up to the actual release. Now they’ve screwed up by changing some things on some profiles which is causing a server stampede as everyone checks to see if their profile changed before the official release date which will surely bog them down on Monday when they get in. I hope they get a big headache out of this…a big…fat…slow system headache.
For the record I think cfa is doing a good job. Lots of candidates and lot of work. Kudos for them for being able to do what they do.
