For the record I think cfa IT is doing a good job. Lots of candidates and lot of work. Kudos for them for being able to do what they do.

I still have the CFA Program Level II Registration link. I can’t imagine that they really would load partial data into production. I would believe that it indicates pass/fail if ther was anybody that saw a change to Register for Level II link. Nobody has seen that yet, so I’m skeptical if this has an predictive value at all

if you thought you passed you likely failed. this is true of CFA exams. i thought i failed L2 and i passed. Its not just me. most L3 candidates and charterholders will tell you that.

Are you a professional? I did much more complicated websites and i can tell you - what they have is sub par

You’re kidding right? Think of a bank or broker dealer. Do you know how many transactions have to be posted every single day? Millions for the large ones, and they don’t get any advanced notice. Plus, people use the trading data posted each day to make decisions with serious financial risk implications. If you compare CFAI to this I would not say they’re doing even close to a good job. Try logging on to your brokerage account on the web in the middle of the night (or whenever they load the days data), it locks you out for a short time. That’s all CFAI had to do…lock the site from people logging in for 30 minutes on Tuesday morning and load the freakin pass/fail data
Is there any of you who took the test in Dallas, and got the Register for Level III link?

I can guarantee you that CFAI outsourced this, therefore any bugs that are left after CFAI signed off on website release will cost them money to fix, hence a crappy site
it took awhile and probably took a few months off my life. but yes, i do see “register for level 3”… i think Fon that sign up for exams on right hand side and keep going thru… FWIW, i wrote in winnnippeg and my last name is pretty early in the alphabet. seems alot more people see it than i would thought the pass rate is…
I see the level 3 sign up link and I’m in HK.
This is what i see…Register for the CFA Program Level III Exam
do you see ‘Level 3’ or ‘Level III’. if its the former you didnt pass.

Smooth and no hassle. The IT > backing of CFAI institute is PATHETIC I am no IT whiz and I have no idea how to manage that much data but how many seconds does it take to update column ‘pass’ from 0 to 1 for 140k fields in a sql database? what, maybe 1.58s?
needhelp Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > do you see ‘Level 3’ or ‘Level III’. if its the > former you didnt pass. … I see Register for the CFA Program Level III Exam. I’m in Hong Kong, Initials are N.S and candidate # 224… Altho it makes little sense why the profile would be updated now, I am leaning more towards that being an indicator I passed (well of course I’d say this when I have the link). But I don’t think that link appears on a random basis. There has to be a flag in the system that indicates if (pass) then display 'register for Level III exam" link. Or else, it would show you 3 links, one for each level.
Guys…what abt this “Update Professional Profile” in a small rectangle just by the side where u have link to CFA level2 registraion or CFA Level 3 registraion page? Can everyone else see that???
so what, passrate is going to be 90% this year for l2 according to this?
A couple hours ago, the check disappeared from the Level II registration box. Clearly I failed. I didn’t study much at all. I’m pretty convinced that if your check disappeared from the box, you failed. If you have the “Register for Level III”, you passed. For those who have the “Register for Level III”, when you click on that link, can you see the Level III exam in the drop down box for the exam type field?

YES, I can you see the Level III exam in the drop down box for the exam type field.
