Nadal is above Sampras. Pete was “terrible” on clay (I say terrible in a relative sense to his skills on grass and hard). Nadal has won Wimbledon twice (his worst surface beating Federer in one of those finals). Pete made the semis once in Paris but other than that his clay court record was below average. To win a grand slam 10 times (I repeat 10 times) is absolutely insane.

Just a terrible call by FT. This would have gone away if he admitted it was a bad call and moved on. However, if you read thru this thread he essentially doubled down on this call and still believes he is right. The ego is a funny thing.
