If Peyton had any pride left, he would retire

Dammit, Manning. Couldn’t you have just let the Chargers win? Now we have to settle for the fourth pick in the draft instead of the third.

That was a tough game for me to watch. On one hand, I hate Denver so I wanted them to lose and go from a #1 seed to a #6 seed and see the Chiefs win the division. On the other, had Denver lost the Chiefs would have hosted Pittsburgh instead of what we’re doing now, going to Houston.

Definitely would rather play Houston, but screw Denver.

is Peyton the best lockdown QB in the game at the moment?

It’s really too bad Bortles had to throw 2 picks in the finale to usurp Peyton having the most interceptions in the league despite only playing NINE games.

go chefs

There it is. Manning will start in the divisional round.

A chance to go for his 10th one and done. Remarkable.

I really wish it would be the Chiefs doing it, but I think Pittsburgh’s going to win.

And, considering we haven’t won a playoff game since I got my first pube, I should probably stay focused on Houston.

Well the Chiefs are by far the team I want to see the least in the second round… so I’m pulling for the Bengals myself.

Assuming that Manning got a fresh round of HGH, he should be ready to go…

The suck job Nantz and Simms did on Peyton at the end of the Broncos/Chargers game was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Nantz saying before the game that he would not even mention the HGH story because it’s a non-story almost has me questioning whether I’m living in the Twilight Zone.

sounds like this is it for the future HOF

I can’t imagine a scenario where this isn’t Manning’s last game. Either he wins and gets to ride off into the sunset, or loses and wants to come back but Elway isn’t having it.

Then again, from a division rival standpoint, having Manning come back for another year may be good for the Chiefs.

I’m really not sure how I want this to play out.

The best case scenario for NFL is for the Donkeys to win it all. Another disney story with the hero walking away at the tight time BS. Personally I would be ok only cause the Panthers have zero class.

I’m a Manning fan and would love to see him go out with another SB victory. It was painful to watch him this year and it really would be a shame if his career ends with such a horrible season and yet another SB loss.

^You didn’t specify which Manning you are a fan of.

I actually like Manning, but the way the media treats/portrays him is too much to stomach. If I have to hear one more NFL reporter is a “longtime Manning family friend” I’m going to scream.

As a player I think he was so good that it’s actually almost unfair that he only has one ring. And I respect how good he was in his prime that it would actually be sad to see him play after this season on a team like Cleveland or Houston or something, assuming his time with Denver is up (and if they’re smart, it should be). I really hope it doesn’t come to something horrible like him taking snaps as a freakin’ Texan.

That would be even more embarrassing than going from a dynastic 49ers to the lowly Chiefs. *shudder*

Ironically, Peyton. I’ve never really been an Eli fan. I think the Giants would have been just fine with Philip Rivers (or Big Ben) and the 1st round draft pick they gave up the following year.

We went to the AFC Championship that year and should have won it all. Damn Buffalo.

Dan Patrick poll question today:

As of today, 2/2/16, Would you rather be Peyton Manning or Cam Newton?

That is, you can either have Peyton’s past (four SB appearances, 5x NFL MVP, possibly the greatest QB in NFL history, but he’s 39, and you gotta think this is his last game.), or you can have Cam Newton’s future (physically, the dude is a phenom. His upside potential is unlimited. And he’s only 26.).

If I can’t be me anymore, I have to be one or the other 100%, Newton all the way. Are you kidding me? Youth trumps all.
