I think it would really help some people’s (include my own) confidence if last year’s L2 writers (whether you passed or are retaking it this year) could compare your CFA mock results before the exam to your actual results (pass/fail/what band, etc.) If you did Stalla or Schweser exams as well, can you please post the comparison as well? For example… CFA mock: 70/75 Schweser: average 73 Result: pass

I heard from my instructor that if they ask it on the Mock, they most likely wont on the exam. I am doing the mock on Fri. so I am hoping to have a better idea. My instructor was a grader previously too.
The Mock was very very straight foward compared to the real exam. I was pissed when I took the exam and realized the difficulty between the 2 did not match. My other friend got an 88 or something on the CFAI mock and failed band 10. Not mentioning any names lol…
Hmm… I wonder if this applies to L II only? I remember at least 2 questions from the Level I 2010 Mock that were identical to the actual test. At the end of the day, CFAi wants this test to be difficult and the charter extremley hard to obtain. If it wasn’t everyone one would have those three leters after their name and no one would respect it… But they are certainly not attempting to trick or game us. I think the sections covered on the sample and mocks are likely to appear on the exam. Obviously not all of them as real estate is scarce especially on the Level II exam.

I think the closest thing the real deal is the mini-sample exams online… kinda makes me feel uneasy as I got 61%/78%…

CFAI Mock: 76/78 Schweser Volume 1: 75 - 85 Did one stalla exam: Over 80 but don’t remember exactly. Stalla is way too easy CFAI Samples: There were 3 last year. Over 70, don’t remember scores QBank: 4000 Q’s, 85% consistently by the end. Fail Band 8. There’s your confidence booster.

Topher, was time an issue for you or did you finish quickly? I know that when I did L1 I finished with an hour left for each section but didnt get >70 on all sections so apparently I was over confident on some answers. From reading some of the qs it looks like word play can really F up a questions.
Time was not an issue. For L1 I finished with about 40 minutes to spare in both the morning and afternoon and passed all >70. For L2, with sooo much practice (I did many mocks and qbank q’s - see above) I was used to reading quickly and jumping into the questions. I had 30 minutes to spare in both the morning and afternoon. So I will slow down this time.
Shit this tread is making me feel uneasy. I thought I was in good shape hitting mid 80s in QBank. I have 3 weeks off and was thinking of either going all through all Schweser or go though the eoc notes and questions. I have not opened CFA books yet apart from ethics. What do you think will help most?

Guys don’t worry. I was an anomaly. Most people on this forum do pass. It sucked for me seeing all the PASS’s everywhere when results were released.

Spend the remaining days working questions anywhere you find them. Qbank, Passmaster, Mock etc
keep pushing. 40% passed LII last year! That includes you on this round.
