Dude, I seriously just threw my f’ing book across the room. I f’ed up a bootstrapping yield curve problem for the third time and just f’ing lost it. I get the f’ing concept but my f’ing brain is f’ing fried and I keep making f’ing mechanical errors. These f’ing late nighters are getting mighty f’ing old. Rant f’ing over…Late.
Dude I am sleeping 3 hours per day since the beginning of May… who are you? Eminem??? Just dont feel down…just do it!!! Come on!
3 hours a day…that sounds healthy. Great for memory retention.
Well…thats life!!..at least if you work 12 hours per day…
Not 12…I typically work 9-8. I work out every morning and study every night from 9-11 at starbucks, basically until they close. Then I study 10-20 hours on the weekends. But I guess I’m on the lower end of hours worked. I don’t know how people study as well as work until midnght every day of the week.
jalmy, sincerly it is very stressfull…particurarly one month before the exam…sometime you feel that your brain is frying… However, I do it because I like finance and I enjoy the program…this also help me to stay awake…plus of course a lot of coffee…
And you’re on Level 1?
level 3 here. it gets worse. i promise it does.
But then it gets better. This is my first spring in three years without this exam. There is light, and rest, at the end of the tunnel. Keeping calm and staying focused these last few weeks is what puts most people over top. But don’t waste your time and energy when your brain is fried. It’s telling you it needs a rest. It will make the next day’s study session more productive if you take the needed break. Otherwise you will spin your wheels again.
I actually tore a Schweser book in half (at the binding) and then stomped on it at L2. It made me feel much better. I had no such rage at L1 or L3. I actually enjoyed L3. L2 scarred me.
rotfl. awesome. you tell 'em who’s boss.
Yes I am level 1
Level 1 too.

My wife actually prompted the book attack by saying that I needed to take out my frustration on something to which I replied “well, I’m going to start with THIS F***ING BOOK”. Unless your laptop is a Mac, I’d avoid the Frisbee toss.

I curse and swear and yell at my books and throw them across the room etc. when I get really mad. Although always late at night when I’m start gettting tired. I didn’t do it so much for L1, but a lot for L2 and have been again on L3…interest rate options P O me. I think it’s just the personality of people in this industry. We’re not the touchy feely type…unless its the opposite sex…
Reading these things is so discouraging I can’t even tell you. I can’t really focus as well at night, my braing is much more sharp and *efficient* in the morning - I get up early and put in 1.5 hours if I can before work and try to get at least 6 hours. I’m a ways out though (Dec L1.) I also don’t know how productive things like “just do it” and “come on!!!111oneonejuan” are… A breather and a day or two off actually works wonders from other test-taking experiences I have had (I used to be an LSAT teacher.) You really shouldn’t be violent with your materials, that’s never a good sign.

Constant flow of music (radiohead or death cab now) and skoal is the only thing keeping me from freaking at 1am after a 12 hour day…day after day. Level II blows…big time.
