Taleb’s books are “Meh”. Liar’s poker is a good book, but i wouldn’t exactly say it’s anything about finance other than culture of an i bank. A similar book would be “Monkey Business”. Black Swan could be summed up in a couple of lines, the rest of the book is just annoying.

fooled by randomness is better than black swan, imo. I do think that fooled made enough people rethink their ideas, though, that it merits a read.

Whatever you do don’t read Panic, it is an awful “book” (its not really a book but rather a collection of articles). That said here are a few good ones: Fractal Geometry of Nature by Mandlebrot Damn it feels good to be a banker by Leveraged Sellout
