The increasing murder rate is probably due to people generally being unhappy and being in worse financial conditions, due to Brexit or other current issues. Some people cope by drinking or smoking, and others commit crimes. The popularity of No Fap and similar movements also contribute to rage and aggression in today’s youth.
Time to ban knives.

The comparison was between NY City and London. Firearms are essentially non existent in either city and are unlikely to have been a major factor.
not sure if you have ever gone on the nofap subreddit but the people are somewhat culty in nature and talk a lot like turd. they all believe their own sh*t so much that they think females FLOCK to them when they dont fap because they can sense their masculinity. THey frequently talk about how they USED to be betas but NOW because of nofap they are alpha males. 90% of them also start working out, lose weight, eating better & naturally going to reddit to ask them how to dress just like each other (/r/malefashionadvice) and they believe nofap is the reason a woman might be interested in them because of their extreme masculinity not the fact that they look better, dont smell, care about how they look & most importantly have gained confidence by actually accomplishing goals (which most of them have never done since they started their journey as typical basement dwelling redditors crying on the internet about their inability to get girls)
all in all its certainly part of an overall improvement in their lives which i can applaud - but its sort of a misplaced cult thinking its the source of their improvement rather than a part of their overall self improvement which can be handled via any number of means. there does seem to be some overlap with the ultra douchey red pill/incel crowd along with the typical “PUA” crowd - but thats to be expected since they started as dudes desperately trying to get girls
