Interestingly enough – the protest was (relatively) peaceful yesterday because the police didn’t use the same level of force as during the BLM protests.
Literally – if the police treated BLM the same way as the divorced dads at the Trump rally, there wouldn’t be any BLM protests.
Could you imagine what Tucker would say if Antifa entered the capital building?
Also, most of the BLM protests were incredibly peaceful, you’re just too smooth-brained to look at the aggregate data.
True, it was peaceful. Other than the full assault and breach of the capitol infrastructure, the rushing of Congress men and women to the bowls of secrecy, the exploitation of historical property, and that one person shot dead. But yea, it was a relatively peaceful democratic demonstration of freedom.
Meanwhile, acting DHS secretary Chad Wolf implored the President to condemn the violence brought by Trump supporters. Shortly after, Trump withdrew his nomination to be a permanent head of DHS.
apparently one of the rioters was dumb enough to wear his work badge. He was fired from his job once the company found out that he was one of the rioters.
IN my study material, they had a virtually identical case, where a person was an animal-rights activist (or something similar) who got arrested for protest.
The official answer (per Schweser) was that since it wasn’t securities- or work-related, it wasn’t a violation.
That said, if my employee stormed the capitol and tried to do some similar nonsense, I’d fire them. If they’re stupid enough to do that, what will they do to me?
