I shall do no such thing. When the greatest state in the US is snubbed by the NCAA, then I shall no longer watch the tournament. (Well, that plus I’ve got work and studying to do–I’d rather watch the Spurs than college.)
I think I’m the only person out there who doesn’t care at all about this tournament, or college sports in general. But I went to a D3 school to maybe that’s it. I truly couldn’t care less.
This is the only college tournament I follow because of its structure.
College football with its million fiesta tostitos doritos bowls is impossible to follow and way too subjective. Bball the selection is subjective but after that its winner takes all. No redos, no best of series, etc… you outscore your opponent you move on.
Probably a lot. For some reason intensely following college sports teams from schools that people didn’t go to themselves is part of the American month of March. Still don’t get it and probably never will. Come May 95% of the people won’t give a sh*t about any of it and the big plays will be reduced to youtube clips.
There are 398 brakets in the pool I’m in. There’s a cool function on the website that gives each player their highest possible final position and who they need to root for to get there. I can still get first and my best shot is with the following in the Elite 8:
Michigan St, Florida GC, Ohio St, Indiana, Louisville, Wichita St, Kansas, and Marquette. Though there are 540 other possible combinations that would still work. This site is pretty cool.
