No, it wasn’t a sexual thing. At least not in this case. Somehow my friend’s dad found this online agency promoting Eastern European women that were interested in marrying American guys. Basically a Russian mail-order website. But the girls aren’t - again, in this case - allowed to leave the agency until they’ve paid them a certain amount. This part could either be real or part of the scam, but I’m positive the owners of the website, “the agency,” were in it to make money so it makes sense.
It’s possible the woman had no plans to leave the agency and is still doing it. Maybe it’s all part of the con. But I don’t think so. I think she was working with this agency to help facilitate the con and now she’s probably moved on to dental school or whatever.
