Seems like common knowledge. I mean, they’ve literally been making songs about this since Jimmy Soul’s catchy 1963 hit “If You Wanna Be Happy” and the 1934 song it was ripped off of (“Ugly Woman” by the Trinidadian Calypsonian Roaring Lion).
Apparently common knowledge does not extend to researchers at Harvard University, the University of La Verne, and Santa Clara University.

There has to be some optimal level of attractiveness that maximizes maritial longevity. You know, where you’re hot enough to be in a relationship with someone >= same level of hotness, but not so hot that you’d have 20 other options if the current relationship goes in the crapper.

For example, im friends with this Austrian chick. She used to model but she’s in her 30s now and married. When we used to hang out I noticed she didn’t bring her credit cards or cash or anything. When I asked her how she was supposed to pay for stuff, she’d say ‘why I should I pay for things’. Sure enough guys would come out the woodwork to buy her drinks, food, anything. She had gotten used to the fact of life being handed to her on a silver platter.
She is really nice and everything, but her perspective of the world was just different. She would spazz about the most insignificant things.
