I took BSAS Live mock exam last week and I scored 71%…still on the edge. This weekend I’ll take Schweser Live Mock exam and post my result.
what do we have to bring to the exam again ? HB pencils ? lool
I scored 65% on my CFA mock. Just the morning session. Although an improvement from 60% on Elan. I think I have a make the most of the next 2 weeks to break the 70% mark.
Kak, I’m in the exact same boat. Lets do this!
Hey guys, do you think the CFA mock is really a good proxy of the real exam ? I know it’s quite obvious as a question, but just want to make sure. For those who already pass the exam, would you say that the CFA mock, the wording, the intensity of calculation, the style etc is very close to the actual exam ? I find it a little bit on the easier side, compare to Elan or especially Schweser… I’m also thinking of buying their samples, thanks Cinderella Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I do remember seeing some two statement questions > in the E0C last year but I’m not sure about the > exam. There definitely weren’t as many as they > have. > > They’re good practise though coz they make you > think real real hard and they’re conceptual, not > calculator-based. 69% on my first Schweser mock. Ugh. &*^*%&^% econ,
In case this helps anyone gauge relative difficulty between mock exams, I scored: 70-75% on Schweser Book practice exams 1AM/PM and 2 AM/PM 73% on ELAN free online Mock 71% Schweser live mock AM (avg score of ~1000 exams was 59%) 76% Schweser live mock PM (avg score of ~800 exams was 60%) 75% CFAI live mock AM I think people pay too much attention trying to compare which questions are most similar to those on the real exam. If you possess the knowledge it shouldn’t matter how the question is asked. You are told the format of the questions and verbiage is a petty excuse in my opinion. Keep working hard and make it your goal to learn as much as possible between now and the exam date. Also, I would appreciate any feedback on my scores. Good luck to everyone!
Come on dude you know you will pass with that score… Stop pretending like you are not ready.
Schweser Volume 2 (3 sets of full exams) - Between 73-83… avg i would say 77-78 CFA Mock AM - 83. CFA Mock PM - 78. I found the Quant and Econ to be easier in Mock with FRA to be trickier. I think its tough to put a lot of emphasis on the how successful you will be on June 4th based on your results now… I mean, as probably most of you… 1 exam I score high on FRA, and the next I score awful on FRA… Its just the way they ask the question, and the material they question you on. I know the couple things that I still need to master and that’s what I’m going to focus on. I think the Mock exams are a good benchmark on the level of knowledge that you have, but as I said, its tough for me to judge people of their probability of passing based on their mocks.
Hi Guyz. I did the Mock Exam (CFA) and I found it easier than schwerser exams that I did. Is it me, or the CFA mock Exam is a little bit easy?
I also thought that the CFA mock exam was a bit easier than the Schweser. I think it comes from the Schweser asking about smaller and more nit picky topics than the CFA mock, but that’s just my opinion.

If you have a good grasp of the material, you should do well… It comes down to the nit picking items… That’s why I find evaluation/comparing mock exams with the “real” exam and the probability of passing difficult…
hi, I just don’t understand the questions about the quintiles. In the Mock exam, they ask (afternoon session) what is the 80th percentile in a sample of 10 observations. I thought you’ll do like that: 10obs. + 1 = 11 * 0.8 = 8.8, then you take the 8th observation + 0.8 * (9th obs. - 8 obs.) but in the answer they didn’t do like that. They just took the 8th observation, directly, I just wonder why?

I think the most difficult on exam day will be to have a question, know what to do and realize that you’ve forgotten the formula… When doing mocks, at least you know you can go back and check the formula. But on exam day, it’s just know or die man… The stress + the frustration, that will be 2 hard ingredients.
64% on CFA Mock…GG me ps did horrible on FSA when I was averaging 70+ on other mocks
Hm, die 83% in the morning session, eventhough only 65% in FRA… really sucked there eventhough i was consistently over 80% at the schweser mocks. But, dear CFA Institute. Why dont you just state the difference between a performance and a price equity index, so that I dont need to guess if dividends are included in a market cap index? So annoying… Now short break and then the afternoon session.
@flok i am exactly in the situation as you now. i just completed the AM of mock1 and going through the questions i did wrong (16 of them). then lunch then PM
Just finished the PM session. Having taken 6 sessions of Schweser Mocks, Elan on-line mock and CFAI AM session, I think that questions on CFAI PM session are about as tricky and convoluted as they can get. It even makes me wonder, why would they make PM session so much harder than the AM. Scored 83% on PM, but had to make educated guessed more often, than usually, and went with pure guesses about 5 times, which I have never done before.
@b__sea93 i agree with you entirely. I got 79% (which to be fair is around my average) but got a massive headache as well. Definately harder than AM. i have marked down almost 1/3 of the questions for reviewing
